Our academic programme is enhanced by our warm, family culture. The school is conveniently located in the heart of the capital city, nestled in a quiet and serene atmosphere. Led by exceptional and caring teachers, mentors, and coaches, students explore and extend their abilities, test their ideas, question assumptions, and acquire the skills to be positive, godly and productive citizens.
We nurture our students’ intellect, engage their curiosity, and encourage them to develop a positive, godly mindset. Students build lasting relationships with each other and savour the unique experience in a culture rooted in respect, the fear of God, and empathy for one another.
We foster an understanding of leadership and interdependence that starts in our open-air quiet and serene Abuja atmosphere and extends to our greater community. CCS students find space to think, investigate, create, and express themselves through presentations in a variety of forms like speech, drama, art, music, etc.
We learn from and with one another in a kind, collaborative, and uplifting community. We challenge our students to engage deeply in learning and appreciate one another so that they grow into adults who are intellectually adventurous, morally sound, and generous of heart and spirit.
CCS celebrates special holidays each year with special programmes for the parents and community. This begins with Nigeria Day to celebrate our country’s independence, then the Christmas programme honouring the birth of Jesus Christ and the Easter programme where students mark His death and resurrection through songs, spoken word, dance, and drama. Other annual events include Parents’ Night, Interhouse Sports, Reading Month, Science or Educational Fair, Spiritual Emphasis Week, Awards Assembly and Graduation. Special Class Assemblies from time to time also afford students the opportunity to present to their parents a display of what they are presently learning. The PTA also organizes special events for the students such as Christmas Fun Day.

CCS has a variety of clubs which typically include the following: Chess Club, Art Club, Basketball, Badminton, Coding, Girls’ Guide, Homemakers, Orchestra, Photography, STEM/JETS, Dance Club, Nursery Dance Club, Gymnastics, Lawn Tennis, and Craft Club.
Basketball and soccer teams also enable CCS students to compete with other schools in matches and in local tournaments.
Excursions are organized to enrich learning by providing students with opportunities to visit relevant sites and locations both within and outside Abuja. These visits help them connect classroom learning to real-life situations.
