OUR HISTORY

CCS was founded in 2013 with an original student body of 22 students and 4 teachers teaching classes from Play Class to Year Six. Over the years, the school has grown gradually and steadily and now has about 200 students in classes ranging from Play Class (two-year-olds) through Senior Secondary School. CCS is fully accredited with WAEC, NECO & ERC, the Junior Secondary School being accredited in 2022 and the Senior Secondary in 2025. The school’s record of excellent external examination results reflects its commitment to academic excellence and holistic education. The staff strength has grown to 45 teaching staff and 28 support staff at present.

WE BELIEVE

1.

The Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God.

2.

That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3.

In the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God, His personal return in power and glory.

4.

In the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone are we saved.

5.

In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation.

6.

In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

7.

In the present ministry of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit by Whom the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

ADMINISTRATION & PTA

The operations of the school are overseen by the Board of Directors made up of the owners of the school and an Advisory Board made up of the CCS Principal and Superintendent, a parent and a teacher from our sister school (International Community School) and professional experts who give the Superintendent and Principal advice on educational policy and governmental procedures, while providing spiritual guidance as well.  The Principal is responsible for the day-to-day running of the school under the supervision and with the support of the Superintendent.
CCS also has a very active and supportive Parent Teacher Association. Over the years, the PTA has partnered with the administration and staff of the school, offering suggestions for improvement and providing items such as smart boards, library books, appreciation gifts to the staff, and assistance with renovations.
Regular communication between the school and parents is a priority in CCS. Each week the school shares news of happenings in the school through the publication called The Tidbits shared through the school’s WhatsApp platform. In addition to whole-school events, parents are invited to visit the classrooms to interact with the teachers and to attend student-led conferences, quizzes and special class assemblies.
